The Summer Project

For some bright reason, I decided to start a new project for the summer holidays. Mmmm...let's not think of all those unfinished ones. After all, it's important and most necessary to follow your creative needs, I think I thought. So, I started a really challenging one - not real rocket science, just real fiddly.
270 blocks with a finished size of 4 1/4" square, consisting of 7 pieces in the block. Yes, yes, do the math = lots and lots of little bits = lots and lots of cutting= lots and lots of sewing = lots and lots of trimming x 2!

Some of the lotsa.

Lotsa lotsa love as I put it up on the design wall. And I'm loving it, even if it's a slow project that may become an Autumn project.

Love it! It will be well worth it - summer/autumn/winter - doesn't matter - it will be truly speccy when it's done.

Better late than never -- I'm sitting here having a swoon over your butterflies. Gasp and swoon. How lovely these blocks are! OK, I have to go look at them again...

Wow, just popped over from Mrs. Schmenkman and LOVE your quilt. Love the newsprint you've used for the light fabric. Just terrific.

Terrific idea. I just bought some of the NY newspaper fabric, only a fat quarter, when I was in MYC.

This is great! I'm not familiar with this pattern... where to find the instructions? I just stumbled upon some fabrics in my stash that would suit this pattern just right!

Thanks for sharing!!!!

That's a really cute block. I am wondering what fabric you used for the middle piece. It looked at though it had writing it. It looked really great.

Thanks for sharing
